During Owen's freshman year in college he would take the bus downtown to work a minimum wage job. It was in those lengthy hours of greeting customers and folding clothes that he thought to himself, "There has to be a better way to spend my time than standing here all day." That is when he decided to become an author for children's books.
Owen is passionate about agriculture, nutrition, and fitness. He loves hiking, exploring, and going on adventures and eating healthy fruits and vegetables. He wished to inspire others to be interested in these types of activities, so he wrote a book about a boy that takes the initiative to go outside on the adventure of a life time. The fruit and vegetable characters the boy meets in the story encourage him to eat healthier foods and live an active lifestyle. Through this boy's journey we are able to experience the changes it takes to live a healthier life in a way that is fun and kid friendly.
Owen has a degree in agricultural business from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo with a minor in political science. He worked at Rabobank in their Real Estate Industries Group after graduating college. He then got married to the love of his life and is continuing to enjoy the Central Coast. Owen now works with Keller Williams Realty helping people buy and sell houses. He is also working on producing other children's books and bedtime stories.
